For young women who have lost their mothers
Our first tether to the world is our mother.
That line doesn't end with her.
She lives in the way you move through the world. In the love you carry. In the life you choose to live. Evaline is here to help you hold that line — and carry it forward.
Why We Exist
We know the specific loneliness of losing your mother when you're young — surrounded by people who love you, but feeling like an alien in your own grief. We're not here to offer silver linings or tell you everything happens for a reason. We exist so that your loss does not become a double loss — a loss of your mother, and a loss of yourself.
Named for Eva. Our lines continue.
I lost my mom at 24. I remember the silence after. You are not as alone as it feels right now.
— From someone who knows
There are no right words. But I want you to know — I'm sitting right here with you in it.
— From someone who knows
Your mother loved you so much. That love doesn't end. It lives in you now.

Our First Program
When you're in the rawest days of grief, words from someone who truly understands can reach you in a way nothing else can. Not comfort. Not reassurance. Just: I know. I was there. You are not alone.
Lilac Letters is a box of handwritten letters from women who lost their mothers too young — their lines extending to meet yours.
I Want to Receive LettersBe Part of This
